Kirk Bentley

I am a designer, leader, mentor, husband and father living in beautiful Queensland, Australia. To date I have been a UI Designer, Product Designer, Front-end and Back-end Developer, Team Lead and most recently a Head of User Experience & Design.

I strive to create meaningful and impactful designs that meet the needs of users and drive positive experiences. Now I am looking for a new challenge where I can further my experience and knowledge.

I don't need a team of scientists to tell me that you can in fact create something from nothing. I've been doing it for years.

My childhood was seriously misspent drawing and writing on what ever I could get my hands on. When I was introduced to computers my passion for graphic design began to develop into something I could make a living from.

Ultimately though, design has given me so much more.

My dad was an A Grade Mechanic for the majority of his professional careeer, so I know where my affliction comes from. To me, cars are so much more than a means of escaping to another destination, they are the escape. If you are lucky enough to build a connection with your car, you will know what I mean.

The majority of cars I have owned have been classic Toyotas, RA40, TA22 and RA28 Celica's, 1 Nissan R32 Skyline and now back into a Toyota KE35 Corolla.

The one constant in life and career is change. Throughout both, I have always believed I am moving forwards.

Moving forward to me, means exploring uncharted territories, taking on new challenges, and expanding my horizons. It's about pushing boundaries, stepping out of my comfort zone, and seeking fresh opportunities. With every setback or successes, each step forward enriches my experience, helping me become a more resilient, resourceful, and capable individual.

I am always moving forward.
